Ride, Don't Walk

This month I got the chance to ride in a wheelchair for an hour.  I experienced the up and down of riding in a wheelchair around the WSU campus.  I had a lot of fun going on a tour around the campus and seeing someones point of view from a wheelchair.  I never realized how difficult it is for people in chairs. I had the hardest time getting around the WSU campus but, I had fun learning how difficult it is.

Me and my partner got the wheelchair and then we went to the bathroom that was ADA assessable and hand little to no problem getting in the stall and then out again. Next we went to the coffee cart and ordered a coffee, which was very hard to to since the counter fro the cash register was so high up!  I could only see the top of the cashiers head. Then we went to Daggy Hall and tried to ride the elevator but it was broken so we couldn't ride up the elevator and get of the second floor.  I had no idea that it was that hard to get around places. We then went into the restroom in Daggy and found that the restroom is not ADA at all! after that our hour was almost up so we headed back and returned the chair.
