Habitat For Humanity Experience

On the weekend of September 7th I helped out at Habitat for Humanity. I had lots of fun helping build the house. We had a little trouble finding the the site, we drove around looking for it for about 10 - 15 minutes, but when we found it we were the first of our group to get there.  After we signed in and signed all the paper work we headed to work.

When we got there we hopped into the trench around the house and started picking up all the cement around the foundation of the house. After the cement was out of the trench we started shoveling gravel into wheelbarrows and poured it into the trench around the house.  Then we laid a draining pipe on top of the gravel and covered it up with more gravel.  After that we rolled tar onto the walls of the foundation to help keep water out. and then we put in another tube and covered it with gravel.  It was a long hard day but, I had lots of fun doing it.
